Profile
Female, Manchu ethnicity, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at South China University of Technology. She obtained her Doctor of Engineering degree from the College of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Zhejiang University in 1999. She currently serves as the Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Subtropical Building Science and the Associate Chair of the Department of Architecture at South China University of Technology.

Research Focus and Expertise
Her research primarily focuses on architectural and environmental acoustics. She has achieved innovative results in the vocal characteristics of traditional Chinese musical instruments and opera performers, as well as in the acoustic design theory for traditional music performance halls. In recent years, she has conducted in-depth studies on the acoustic scattering properties of materials and structures, key technologies for acoustic scale-model experiments, and techniques for sound field capture and reproduction.

Research Achievements

  • Led four projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

  • Directed or participated in dozens of architectural acoustic design and consulting projects.

  • Received four provincial/ministerial-level science and technology awards (one as first author, three as second author).

  • Published over a hundred academic papers, authored one monograph, translated one academic work, contributed to two textbooks, and participated in the development of multiple national standards and technical specifications.
