China’s regulatory framework for noise pollution and sound insulation continues to drive technological innovation in acoustics:
These strong regulatory policies are accelerating innovation, product upgrades, and technological advancement across China’s acoustics and noise control industry.
On June 5, 2022, the Noise Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People’s Republic of China officially came into effect.
In October 2023, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment issued the Notice on Industrial Noise Discharge Permit Management, formally incorporating industrial noise into pollutant discharge licensing.
Starting May 1, 2025, the mandatory “Residential Project Standard” requires 100% sound insulation performance testing for all new residential buildings, with test results included in housing quality assurance documentation.
