Engaged in several large-scale cultural construction projects under the Ministry of Culture, specializing in theater and stage technology. Participated in the entire construction process of the NCPA over 20 years.
Career Timeline:
1987.8–1990.9: Assistant Engineer, China Art Science and Technology Institute (formerly: Institute of Stage Art Science and Technology, Ministry of Culture)
1990.10–1993.9: Ministry of Culture NCPA Preparation Office. Contributed to the NCPA Project Proposal and NCPA Feasibility Study Report, and collaborated with Tsinghua University's Architectural Physics Laboratory on the research project Measurement of Sound Pressure Level Distribution in Halls Using Fixed Sound Source Method. Promoted to Engineer in 1992 through Ministry of Culture evaluation.
1993.9–1997.12: Studied in Japan at Kyushu Institute of Design, specializing in Acoustic Environment within Information Communication, earning an Art Engineering Master's degree. Completed doctoral coursework (equivalent to Ph.D.) and later worked at Fuji Onkyo Co., Ltd. in Japan.
2000.3–2004.7: Pursued Ph.D. in Architectural Acoustic Environment at Tsinghua University's Department of Architectural Technology Science, defending his dissertation in July 2004 and earning a Doctor of Engineering degree.
1998.1: Returned to China upon request, assigned to the Ministry of Culture's Cultural Facilities Construction Management Center, joining the NCPA Project Owner Committee to continue NCPA construction and management. Drafted the Architectural Design Task Book, Stage Mechanical Equipment Tender Documents (technical requirements), and NCPA Sound Reinforcement System Tender Documents. Led and organized the NCPA sound system engineering, successfully completing the construction tasks.
2007.11: Appointed Deputy Director of the NCPA Stage Technology Department, overseeing daily performance operations. Authored publications such as Sound System and Operation Management of the NCPA and Sound Technology and Performance Management of the NCPA.
2010.10: Transferred to Beijing University of Technology's School of Architecture and Urban Planning as a faculty member. Established the Institute of Theater Design and Stage Technology, focusing on theater design, stage technology, and hall acoustics design.
Research Output:
Published over 100 academic papers.
Authored monographs including Hearing Training System, Research on Hall Acoustics Design, Research on Stage Technology Design, and Research on Sound Reinforcement System Engineering.
